MOVIE REVIEW : MAH-E-MIR
Cast : Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali, Sanam Saeed, Manzar Sehbai, Alyy Khan
Director : Anjum Shahzad
Release Date : 6th May, 2016

Story : The story revolves around an Urdu column writer and poet Jamal (Fahad Mustafa) who had financial difficulties due to other famous writers and poets. He fell in love with a girl (Iman Ali) who is also a poet. Dr. Kaleem (Manzar Sehbai) is a famous Urdu poet who helped Jamal and describe the life of Mir Taqi Mir (Famous Urdu poet). Jamal finds his life related to the life of Mir.

Music : The film has 4 songs which are unable to make a good impression. Piya Dekhan Ko sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali is good but it was not used well in the film.

Script : Mah-E-Mir is written by famous Urdu writer Sarmad Sehbai. The dialogues are very good but too much difficult Urdu for a common person to understand.
Cinematography : The camera work and cinematography is brilliant which makes it a visually grand and appealing film. The sunset, the clouds and moon are presented beautifully.

Acting : All the actors did justice to their role. Fahad Mustafa played the best role of his career. Iman Ali did not had enough space to perform. All other actors were also decent.

Direction : The direction is not impressive as there are some technical faults. The director failed to properly convey the message of the writer.

Editing : Editing could have been better. There are some unnecessary scenes in the film which makes the film a bit dragged.
FINAL VERDICT : Mah-E-Mir is a visually appealing film with some great actings. It lacks a public-friendly script therefore, the public will be unable to understand the message of the film. Manto was a similar type of film but it had simple Urdu dialogues. Overall, Mah-E-Mir is a decent film. Watch it for beautiful cinematography and the acting of Fahad Mustafa.

RATING : 3/5
